Development of services, IMS
Development of services in IMS networks, is an advanced and challenging area. Our programmers often work under specifications (from OMA and 3GPP) to ensure that the implemented services are interoperable with other networks and standards.
Protocol Expert
Our consultants have deep knowledge of the SIP and IMS protocols and are often engaged as expertise in designing networks and applications with a focus on SIP and IMS.
Advanced Linux Programming
Our programmers have deep experience with Linux, and often work with advanced tasks in which every problem is seen as challenging.
Development of testing tools for IMS
To test the IMS network, we have helped clients who are at the cutting edge of developing tools to test and verify functionality of the various elements of the IMS network. In these assignments, we work independently to implement tools based on standards.
VoIP installations
We have done some IP telephony installations for companies and operators. Products we have been working with are Ericssons IPT systems and different Cisco IP telephony solutions. We know IP telephony solutions from different vendors on the market.
VPN solutions
VPN solutions for a large organization. This solution includes authentication, authorization and encryption. The solution is a so called client to gateway solution, where the client software is loaded into the clients and a central gateway receives requests from the clients.
Our role in this case was purchase support, project management and installation.
Firewall Installations
We have done a lot of Firewall installations. Products that have been used are Cisco PIX, Borderware and Firewall-1. When it comes to managing existing firewall installations, we are confident we can handle most vendor equipments.
System Integration, VoIP
Asterisk and OpenSER (kamailio / opensips) is open source software we often work with, helping clients to integrate into existing networks. With both Asterisk and OpenSER, we have built several large-scale implementations.
Network Audit
Network Audits for several large organizations that wanted assistance to see what can be improved in their network in terms of reliability, performance and security. When doing these revisions we use tools as advanced traffic analyzers to find problems. Also we look at traffic flows and design to be able to give advice regarding refining and modernising. After such revision we sometimes help installing improvments and in other cases we act as advisors to the organization.
IP address plans
We have been creating several IP address plans. These address plans have been for very large networks and organizations.
Telephony Procurement
We have been assisting a large organization in telephony procurement. The first idea was to purchase an IP telephony system but it ended up with a TELEPHONY solution.
We think this is an important way of thinking, the function telephony was purchased, not a specific technology.
Network Procurement
We have been involved in several network procurements. The commissions include, depending of the customer needs, creation of a request for proposal, and evaluating the different vendor proposals.
Project Management
We have been working as Project managers for some large organizations. Some of these projects have been large projects and may e.g. been about new installation of a network for 2500 users and 150 servers. Other project management jobs have been about modifying and improving the network structure for large organizations.
Operations Management
Continously we assist a number of customers with production management. In these jobs we help the customer managing and developing their network. These jobs may include wireless networks, NT/Novell/Unix server installations and redesign/move of data and telecommunication.
Network Design
Network design is another kind of job that we can take. We have designed several networks and when doing that it’s important to look at what functions should be where and how to configure the network for maximum performance at the same time as network security is maintained, both in terms of redundancy and network intrusion.
Network design VoIP
We have built up a range of IP Telephony networks for our customers, from scratch. Both operators networks, with quick transition into actual service, as well as in companies developing new services based on IP Telephony. Robustness and scalability are key words for us and we are working with the SIP protocol as the base.
Configuration of routers/switches
Configuration of routers/switches and other network components from different vendors is our daily work. We have created advanced configurerations for OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, X.25, router filters, NAT, load balansing etc.
Mobile IP solutions
We have performed advanced consultant work within Mobile solutions with IP as base. This was with Cisco equipment and a radio based telephony network.
Summary
This is a small extract from our reference list. If you hire a consultant from IP-Solutions then you will get a consultant that has 15 years (in average) experience from network related work. Apart from that we have other computer related experience within the company and we also do jobs together with other vendor independent consultant companies.
