Description
The IT community of today goes towards an All-IP solution where all communication is built upon IP traffic. This is also true within the telecommunication area where bandwidth resources are limited. Header compression will become of specific interest when next generation of mobile telephony is introduced (often called 4G). In 4G E-UTRA is used as access technology and header compression is mandatory to use in E-UTRA. E-UTRA is an important building block within Long Time Evolution (LTE).
This course covers the fundamentals within header compression; why you should use header compression and what methods are available.
Target group
The course is targeted for designers of IP based solutions to be used on links with limited bandwidth.
Prerequisites
The students are supposed to have fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP equivalent to our course TCP/IP. Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure is beneficial but not a requirement.
Other
This course is a well-balanced mix of lectures, presentations, discussions and mind-maps.This course is avaible as scheduled training and the presentation is given in English or Swedish. This is a theoretical course. We can also give this course as on-site training. If you are interested in customized education, don“t hesitate to contact us for furher information.
